Allegro was engaged by an architectural / engineering / planning firm, to conduct a comprehensive economic development plan in support of a master planning initiative. The client, a rapidly growing suburban municipality, needed to revise its master plan, identify opportunities for economic development, and address the broad guidelines that could be implemented through zoning codes to guide the future development of different zones in the city.
Allegro assisted in evaluating the existing master plan and its impact on the real estate development community and corporate site selectors. The team educated the city on how to make it more attractive to site selectors and businesses. Further, Allegro played a supportive role to the planning firm in conducting public workshops to build community consensus, analyze land use and corridors; evaluate community facilities to support growth; analyze demographic, housing and economic conditions; conduct fiscal impact analysis of proposed development strategies; and establish economic development policies and programs to meet development goals.
