Client Spotlight: MCPc & The Foundry

 

MCPc is a Cleveland, Ohio-based information technology company that helps businesses manage the security risks and logistical challenges inherent in utilizing a fleet of technology. What makes them special is not just their business model, however: the MCPc business ethos is centered around trust, sustainability, community, and philanthropy, and as a company, they walk the walk. In fact, MCPc operates its own charitable arm, MCPc Family Charities, which supports educational, cultural, and social causes and organizations throughout its business regions. Since its inception, MCPc has provided over $15 million in charitable support and continues to prioritize giving back.

Much of that philanthropic spirit is guided by MCPc Chairman & CEO, Michael Trebilcock. Together with his wife, Gina, Mike led MCPc Family Charities to rescue a historic complex in the Flats of Cleveland that seemed destined for oblivion and turned it into a world-class non-profit rowing facility. Today, The Foundry attracts talented rowing students from all over Northeast Ohio while remaining accessible to the youth of Cleveland, no matter their income level. Since opening in 2016, The Foundry has also expanded into sailing, thanks to a partnership with the Cleveland Metroparks which allowed the Historic Coast Guard Station at Whiskey Island to become Cleveland’s first community sailing center.

MCPc’s relationship with Allegro began in 2009, when they began their search for a new corporate headquarters in downtown Cleveland and engaged Allegro as their real estate consultant and tenant representative. With Allegro’s help, the search for the right space was successful, resulting in a 10½ year lease of the 3rd floor of the Plain Dealer building. Since then, Allegro has maintained a true partnership with MCPc and MCPc Family Charities, assisting them through several complex real estate searches and negotiations, including the purchase of the 100,000-square foot waterfront property that became The Foundry (detailed in this case study).

In a recent testimonial interview, Mike Trebilcock called the Allegro team “trusted advisors” that offered a consultative approach and a full-service experience throughout the 300,000-square feet of real estate leases and purchases they completed on MCPc’s behalf across Northeast Ohio.

“Organizations, and the individuals in them, have a culture and a soul – you have to look for other organizations that share the same soul and values that you have,” said Mike. “That’s what we found in Allegro.”
